Grit's Mechanical Production Treater has been designed to heat production fluids and separate the oil, water, and sand prior to the production tank. The unit allows very foamy fluid to be heated and even difficult to separate, high-sand-cut material to be cleaned without the use of a second tank.

In field trials, the unit has proven dependable and simple to operate. It has significantly improved the fluid management and operating process efficiency at the test well.

Cold Weather's Heat Driven Loop (HDL) fluid heating system provides the heat required for the Mechanical Production Treater. The improved thermal performance of the HDL over conventional heating systems allows the necessary heat to be delivered to the production quickly and efficiently with no convection related turbulence. At the same time, it reduces the overall gas consumption required to eliminate the foam and effectively separate the fluids and solids.
