At the core of the Grithog Sand Control Systems line of products and services is our augers.
We build all of our own augers, using our Grit Industries Inc. fabrication facilities.

Leveraging our expertise and years of experience in working with augers, we are often called upon to help work up custom augering solutions. In January of 2002, Grithog Sand Control Systems Ltd. was approached about developing below-ground pit clean-outs using our augering technologies. We developed an elevating augering system to tackle this problem, which appeared to yield a 40 to 50 per cent reduction in volume of product that needed to be hauled, as opposed to the previous methodology.

Another example is our "V"-bottom auger trucks that we utilize to haul oily sand to municipal roads for dust control. They trucks eliminate the separation of fluids and solids, as the augers allow mixing of the drier material with the fluid while enroute to the disposal site. This gives an even flow and mix, allowing for controlled application of road spreading.
