Grit Industries’ Hot Tap Unit provides a safe and economical means for service personnel to retrofit existing production tanks for installation of Sand Control System’s Penetrator. This can be performed while the tank remains in production.

After welding the Penetrator components to the tank and testing the welds, the Hot Tap Unit is rigged in. Holes can then be cut directly into a producing, production tank allowing for 10” cross-over lines to be installed.

The Hot Tap Unit is then rigged out and milling is completed in an immersed coolant solution.
